    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a uniform image quality with reduced uneven display under high temperature environments in a liquid crystal display device provided with a liquid crystal panel having a front face on which a front panel is arranged with a resin layer therebetween.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a display panel having a TFT array substrate 1 and a CF substrate 2 opposed to each other and a liquid crystal 3 interposed therebetween; and a front panel 8 adhered to a front face of the display panel with a resin layer 7 in between. The display panel includes in its display region a main spacer 5a on the CF substrate 2, which is in contact with the TFT array substrate 1, and a sub spacer 5b which does not reach the substrate 1. The proportion of the total area where the main spacer 5a is in contact with the substrate 1 to the area of the display region of the liquid crystal panel is not higher than 0.02%.
