    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of three-dimensional compression, securing necessary and sufficient lap strength while keeping a sufficient height of a scroll lap stepped part, and facilitating lap working.
      SOLUTION: In the scroll compressor provided with the stepped parts 16F, 16G on a tip surface 16D and a bottom surface 16E of the scroll-like laps 15B, 16B of a pair of a fixed scroll member 15 and a turning scroll member 16, having a higher scroll-like lap height at an outer circumference side of the scroll-like lap of the stepped part than a scroll-like lap height at an inner circumference side, and constructed in such a manner that three-dimensional compression in a circumference direction and a height direction of the scroll-like lap can be carried out, the stepped parts provided on the tip surface 16D and the bottom surface 16E of the scroll-like lap comprise a plurality of steps of stepped parts 16L, 16M, and 16F, 16G, and the height of each stepped part is set to a height with which root stress of each stepped part gets roughly equal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant compressor capable of continuing an operation by preventing entering of open air inside a housing even under a condition that an inlet pressure becomes a negative pressure below the atmospheric pressure.
      SOLUTION: In the refrigerant compressor 1 where one end of a drive shaft 6 is connected to a compression mechanism 15 and the other end projects outside while penetrating a housing 2, the compressor is constituted so as to be driven by an external driving source, and is provided with a lip seal 11 for sealing a portion between the open air and an inlet side space 25 at a place where the drive shaft 6 of the housing 2 penetrates. In the housing 2, a lip sealing chamber 27, which is divided from the inlet side space 25 by a dividing means 26, is formed at the side of compression mechanism 15 from a lip sealing 11, and in the lip sealing chamber 27, a gas introducing path 28 is provided from which a refrigerant gas with an intermediate pressure, which is higher than the atmospheric pressure and lower than the discharge pressure, is introduced.
