    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor installation type air conditioner having a wind direction device capable of changing efficiently a wind direction inexpensively by simple constitution. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with vertical blades and right and left blades for separately blowing air vertically and laterally, in a blowout port 5 formed in a casing, the right and left blades are constituted of a left blade unit 8a arranged in a left side of the blowout port 5 and comprising the plurality of right and left blades connected by a connection bridge, a central blade unit 8b arranged in the central part of the blowout port 5 and comprising the plurality of right and left blades connected by a connection bridge, a right blade unit 8c arranged in a right side of the blowout port 5 and comprising the plurality of right and left blades connected by a connection bridge, and a drive unit is connected to each of the left blade unit 8a, the central blade unit 8b and the right blade unit 8c, to change independently angles of the right and left blades respectively in the left blade unit 8a, the central blade unit 8b and the right blade unit 8c.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of improving air-conditioning efficiency and achieving comfortable air conditioning by grasping presence or absence and positions of people in a room, and realizing a blowout air current meeting preference of residents. SOLUTION: An area to be air-conditioned is divided into a plurality of areas by a plurality of human detection sensors provided in an indoor unit. A wind direction controller is provided controlling one or both of a direction of a vertical blade or a direction of a horizontal blade provided on a blowout opening of the indoor unit in response to reaction results of the human detection sensors. By controlling a wind direction so as to direct the blowout air current from the blowout opening to directions of areas with no people other than areas with people, and providing a temperature correction value correcting a desired set temperature, not only is a feeling of air current improved by not directly hitting the blowout air current on a person, but also air-conditioning capacity can be optimized such that insufficiency of an air-conditioning feeling does not occur due to not directing the blowout air current on a person, and peripheries of the residents can be retained at a temperature giving a feeling of comfortableness.
