    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red pigment dispersion for a color filter excellent in pigment dispersibility and dispersion stability, a manufacturing method for the same, and a pigment-dispersed resist composition for a color filter capable of having a high contrast and a high transmittance. SOLUTION: The red pigment dispersion for a color filter comprises a finely particulated organic pigment, a pigment dispersion aid (A) which is a sulfonated compound having the same skeleton as the finely particulated organic pigment, for example, a pigment dispersion aid (B) obtained by sulfonating a monoazo compound such as Pigment Red 2, a pigment dispersant, and an organic solvent; wherein the contents of the pigment dispersion aid (A) and the pigment dispersion aid (B) are each 0.5 to 30 pts.mass with respect to 100 pts.mass of the finely particulated organic pigment; and the finely particulated organic pigment is obtained by mixing the organic pigment and the pigment dispersion aid (A) and finely particulating the mixture.
