    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersing auxiliary which can be produced efficiently by using concentrated sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid, and can be used in combination with a pigment dispersant to thereby exhibit excellent pigment dispersibility. SOLUTION: The pigment dispersing auxiliary is a specific diketo-pyrrolopyrrol-based pigment having a cyano group on the phenyl ring. The pigment dispersing auxiliary can be used to provide a pigment dispersion with good fluidity and dispersion stability even if the dispersion contains a fine organic pigment. The pigment dispersion is excellent in lightness and colorfulness, and hence can be suitably used for various printing inks in addition to an ink-jet printer ink. Further, the pigment dispersion can be used in a resist for a liquid crystal color filter to thereby attain the liquid crystal color filter which is high in lightness Y value and contrast ratio.
