    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure preventing generation of a cavity in an adhesive layer.SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the honeycomb body includes: a process (a) of preparing a plurality of honeycomb units each having at least one jointed face with adhesive layer paste to be installed; a process (b) of impregnating at least part of the at least one jointed face of each honeycomb unit with water; a process (c) of preparing the adhesive layer paste at least including inorganic particles, a binder and water; a process (d) of applying the adhesive layer paste to the at least one jointed face of at least one of the honeycomb units to joint the honeycomb units to each other; and a process (e) of forming an adhesive layer by drying, degreasing and solidifying the adhesive layer paste. In the process (e), the water with which the at least one jointed face of each honeycomb unit is impregnated in the process (b) is removed.
