SOLUTION: In this side guard, a panel member (16) is mounted in a frame body constructed of upper and lower frame members (11, 12) and front and rear terminating members (13, 14). Each frame member includes panel holding rail portions (21, 22, 25) opening in the vertical direction and a bolt connecting rail portion (24) opening to the vehicle body side. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side guard for a truck having excellent rust prevention property and external appearance, suitable for reduction in weight and cost balance, and difficult to generate deformation, even if used as a toothold to a load carrying platform. SOLUTION: This side guard 1 is constituted of a first member 5 and a second member 6, and is arranged along front and rear directions of a vehicle on a lower side of the load carrying platform. Each of the first member 5 and the second member 6 is made of a stainless composite plate in which resin is closely adhered and held between two sheets of stainless steel plates 25, and has vertical plate parts 7 and 8, upper plate parts 9 and 10 and lower plate parts 11 and 12 bent from upper and lower ends of the vertical plate parts 7 and 8 to be opposite each other, and openings 17 and 18 sectioned by the upper plate parts 9 and 10 and the lower plate parts 11 and 12. In the first member 5 and the second member 6, the opening 17 is closed by the second member 6, the opening 18 is closed by the first member 5, and the upper plate parts 9 and 10 each other and the lower plate parts 11 and 12 each other are mutually coupled in each of overlapping states to form almost rectangular closed section as a whole.
