      SOLUTION: In the organic EL elements of the multi-photon structure, which is formed on a substrate 1, and in which a plurality of pieces of light-emitting units 4 including at least one layer of light-emitting layer are laminated via the intermediate layer 5, and between an anode layer 2 and a cathode layer 3 which is its opposing electrode, the intermediate layer 5 is formed by mixing or lamination of an organic compound with an electron accepting material or electron donating material, and has an element constitution in which the charge transfer complex is not formed.
