摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fire resisting molding lightweight keeping the strength and fire resistance of a calcium silicate plate by laminating the calcium silicate plate on both side of a honeycomb core or a corrugated core having a backing of paper made from fibers and inorganic powder. SOLUTION: A calcium silicate plate 1 is laminated on both sides of a honeycomb core 2 or a corrugated core 4 having a backing of paper made from fibers and inorganic powder. The paper used to form the honeycomb core 2 or the corrugated core 4 is fire resisting and can be made from various kinds of fibers including organic fibers and inorganic fibers. Inorganic paper is obtained by a paper-making method in which inorganic fibers are dispersed into dispersion liquid in which clay powder is dispersed and dissolved in water. An adhesive is applied linearly on prescribed places of paper sheets, a prescribed number of the sheets are placed one upon another, the sheets are cut rectangularly, and the honeycomb core 2 is obtained by expanding the cut sheets.

CONSTITUTION:At least one kind selected from alumina fiber, silica fiber, carbon fiber, zirconia fiber, silicon nitride fiber, silicon carbide fiber, silicon nitride whiskers, and silicon carbide whiskers is used to form corrugated heat-resistant inorg. paper 1, flat heat-resistant inorg. paper 2, etc., by sheet making, etc. The inorg. paper 1 and 2 are combined to produce a honeycomb formed product, and the product is then calcined. The opening of the product is covered with a ceramic material having excellent heat resistance to produce an ultrahigh- temp. heat-insulating tile. The tile is appropriately used as the wall material, etc., for aeronautical and space equipment.
