    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position the magnetic head to a magnetic disk having a blank servo signal or the like with an inexpensive configuration in inspection of the magnetic disk or the magnetic head. SOLUTION: A blank magnetic disk 16 on which no signal is written is fixed attachably and detachably on a spindle 12. A magnetic disk 14 for servo is a magnetic disk of a data surface servo method on which a known servo signal is written, and is also fixed on the spindle 12. The spindle 12 is rotated by a motor 10. Two heads, a magnetic head 22 to access the blank magnetic disk 16 and a magnetic head 20 for servo to access the magnetic disk 14 for servo, are fixed on a head driving device 18. A control circuit 26 controls the motor 10 and the head driving device 18 according to the servo signal read by the magnetic head 20 for servos accessing the magnetic disk 14 for servo, and thereby, controls the position of the magnetic head 22 to the blank magnetic disk 16. An inexpensive magnetic disk equivalent to a marketed one can basically be used for the magnetic disk 14 for servo.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the formation of a wide band-ranging at a low cost while restraining the deterioration of a characteristic to the minimum, and to realize an event trigger function. SOLUTION: A FIFO memory 28 stores the second digital signal and reduces its transfer speed. A multiplexer(MPX) 30 outputs selectively either of the first digital signal or an output signal of the memory 28. A DSP 18 FFT-operates an output signal of the MPX 30. A memory 20 stores an operated result of the DSP 18. A trigger detector 32 compares an operated result of the first digital signal by the DSP 18 with a prescribed trigger condition data to generate a trigger signal when a trigger condition is satisfied. A memory controller 34 controls a storing operation for the FIFO memory 28 in response to the trigger signal. A data to be remained in the FIFO memory 28 out of data generated by a wide band signal processing means is thus controlled in response to a trigger function.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy and highly accurate machining for the surface to be worked even if the optical device has a large wave aberration. SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with a laser generator 3, which machines the surface 2 of a workpiece 1 by irradiating it with an ultraviolet laser L of a short wave length, and a shack hartmann wave front instrument 4 which has a lens array with a large number of micro lenses arranged to make the reference beam of a desired characteristic enter the lens array, and which thereby measures the wave front from a difference between the image- forming position of a reference beam emitted from each micro lens by making the reference beam of a desired characteristic enter the lens array and the image-forming position of a measured beam emitted from each micro lens by making the measured beam enter the lens array through the surface 2 to be worked. Then, the irradiation of the ultraviolet laser L is optimally controlled, on the basis of the deviation of the image-forming position of the measured beam, using as a reference the image-forming position of the reference beam obtained from the shack hartmann wave front instrument 4; and, simultaneously, controlled positionally by a controller 6 is the driving mechanism 5 that relatively moves the ultraviolet laser L and the workpiece 1.
