A second coupling layer 47 has an end surface directed toward a medium opposing surface 2 and disposed at a position apart from the medium opposing surface 2, and couples the first coupling layer 46 and the yoke part 41 magnetically. A coil 20 includes a first coil element 21A and a plurality of second coil elements 22A and 22B. The first coil element 21A sandwiches the first coupling layer 46 between itself and the medium opposing surface 2. The second coil elements 22A and 22B sandwich the second coupling layer 47 between themselves and the medium opposing surface 2, sandwich the first coil element 21A between themselves and a main magnetic pole 15, and are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the medium opposing surface 2.
