    • PURPOSE:To efficiently grind a gravestone by clamping the top and bottom surfaces of a gravestone on a grinding unit, which simultaneously polishes the four surfaces of the gravestone, and by installing abrasive heads, which face the four side surfaces, and by interlocking the abrasive heads with a link mechanism thereby allowing the heads to rotate and by simultaneously cutting the four side surfaces of the gravestone. CONSTITUTION:A travelling car 29 moves on the rails 28 to transport a gravestone 16 to a grinding unit. The gravestone 16 on the travelling car 29 is fixed to a clamp 17 by operating a clamp cylinder. The four abrasive heads 10 are installed to a threaded rod 5 inside a lift member 4 in such a way that the heads 10 may freely rotate. When each abrasive head 10 is rotated by a motor, an air cylinder 12 is driven and rotated around the center of the threaded rod 5, matching the width of the gravestone 16 and hence polishes the surfaces of the gravestone 16. This operation is interlocked with the link mechanism, allowing the four abrasive heads 10 to rotate simultaneously.
