    • PURPOSE:To save the labor of operation for finding a right angle by measuring the lengths of two sides of a triangle with a detector and operating an oblique side calculation execution key. CONSTITUTION:When a CPU31 compares the count value of the number of pulses outputted from a tape drawing-out length detector 32 with 10-meter primary standard data stored in a ROM34 and judges that the detector 32 maintains constant precision, a length measurement mode is selected and actual length is displayed on a display device 5. When a specified length key 23 is operated, the CPU31 stores the displayed actual length in a RAM35 as specified length and drives the speaker to generate a sound. Then, the CPU31 compares the measured value with the specified length and every time the tape is drawn out until the measured value is an integral multiple of the specified length, the speaker informs the measuring person of that. Consequently, the speedy and secure measuring operation is performed.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the winding of fibers around needles and open efficiently the fibers, by combing and opening massive fibers with the needles protruding from the upper peripheral surface of a conveyor, and sinking the needles into the lower peripheral surface thereof to separate the opened fibers from the conveyor.
      CONSTITUTION: Waste fibers 21, e.g. silk, are washed and compressed by a press 27 and dehydrated to give massive fibers 28, which are then nipped by chucks 32 and fed to an opening part consisting of an endless conveyor 30 revolved and moved in almost the horizontal direction by a pair of rolls 29 and needles 31, protruding from the upper peripheral surface of the conveyor 30, and sinking into the lower peripheral surface of the conveyor 30. The massive fibers 28 are fed to the needles 31 protruding from the upper peripheral surface of the conveyor 30, combed and opened by the needles 31 and conveyed by the conveyor 30. The needles 31 are sunk into the peripheral surface of the conveyor 30 when the needles 31 are transferred to the lower peripheral surface of the conveyor 30 to separate the opened fibers from the lower peripheral surface of the conveyor 30.
