    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a continuous pocket coil spring line without requiring forming of unpleasant unevenness at the upper end or lower end of coil springs.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the continuous pocket coil spring line includes: a step of forming two upper and lower layered belt-shaped sheet materials 10 and 11 of a half or approximately half width by folding an air-permeable belt-shaped sheet material 1 at the center in the width while conveying the belt-shaped sheet material 1 in the longitudinal direction; a step of compressing the height of a coil spring 7; a step of sequentially inserting compressed coil springs 7 into an opening 1D formed on a side surface of the folded belt-shaped sheet material 1; a step of closing and welding the opening 1D; and a step of welding a space between adjacent coil springs 7. The method for manufacturing the continuous pocket coil spring line further includes a step of forming overlapping parts in ends 10a and 11a of the upper belt-shaped sheet material 10 and the lower belt-shaped sheet material 11 by respectively folding the ends 10a and 11a on the opening 1D side of the belt-shaped sheet material 1 folded into the two upper and lower layers when the opening 1D is closed; and a step of closing the opening 1D by welding the overlapping parts.
