    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and clarify the design by presuming a shear failure type cotter formed between structural members and using high tensile strength jointing members. SOLUTION: A recessed portion is formed in a column 1 and a projected portion is formed in a beam 2. The projected portion in the beam 2 is fitted to the recessed portion in column 1, and a shear failure type cotter 5 is formed and the column 1 and beam 2 are jointed together. In addition, the column 1 and beam 2 are jointed by high tensile strength jointing members 3 such as high strength steel bars or PC steel rods, and a gap filler 4 comprising urethane resin or the like is placed between the jointing member 3 and column 1 and beam 2. The cotter 5 has a shear failure, then the shear failure surface 12 becomes a rough surface 14, and the place of a compressed surface 13 of a ruptured surface 12 becomes a shear resistance surface 121 with the rough surface 14. Moreover, a compressive constraint force acts to the shear resistance surface 121 in order to balance with the tensile force of the jointing member 3, thereby blocking a deviation between the column 1 and beam 2 by the shear resistance 122. In this way, the design can be simplified.

    • PURPOSE:To save molten metal and thermal energy by keeping molten metal at the amount conforming to pouring up to a product cavity, an ingate and the neck part of a cross gate, and dropping and pouring this molten metal home after allowing the same to stay in a predetermined holding pot. CONSTITUTION:When molten metal is poured from the upper part of a mold into a holding pot 5 in an arrow direction, this molten metal is once stored in the pocket 5 until a fusible plug cover 6 melts away. Thence, when the cover 6 melts away, the molten metal drops home down a cross gate 2 and poures into a product cavity 4, an ingate 3 and up to the neck of the cross gate 2, then it solidifies. On completion of the solidifying after this, the mold is knocked out and the casting is taken out. Said fusible plug cover 6 consists preferably of the same material as that of the molten metal or the metal system of the same type which does not melt away until the predetermined amount is poured into the above-mentioned pocket but immediately melts away after this. It is preferable that the cross gate is in the position deviated from the pouring direction of the holding pot.
