The values of the partial words are respectively affected by each actuator, and the values of the partial words are respectively and continuously affected when the actuators are active. When one of the actuators is made inactive, the corresponding partial word takes a prescribed fixed value. Then, the partial words are simultaneously written to an evaluation unit to check the switch states of the actuators.
