SOLUTION: [1] The resin composition comprises a compound having an epoxy group and an alkyl-substituted glutaric acid anhydride. [2] The alkyl-substituted glutaric acid anhydride is a 2,4-dialkylglutaric acid anhydride, a 3-alkylglutaric acid anhydride or 2,3-dialkylglutaric acid anhydride in the resin composition of [1]. [3] The resin composition contains a dicarboxylic acid anhydride except the alkyl-substituted glutaric acid anhydride in the resin composition of [1] or [2]. [4] The total amount of the used dicarboxylic acid anhydride including the alkyl-substituted glutaric anhydride is regulated so that the molar ratio of the dianhydride to the epoxy group in the compound having the epoxy group is 0.1-10 in the resin composition of [1] to [3].

SOLUTION: A separator composition for the lithium secondary battery contains a plasticizer of a boiling point of 240 to 300°C, a polymer, a filler and a solvent. The separator for the lithium secondary battery is obtained by coating and drying the separator composition for the lithium secondary battery on a base material, or, casting and drying it on another support body and then peeling it off from the support body. The lithium secondary battery is obtained by integrating the separator for the lithium secondary battery and a specific electrode for the lithium secondary battery and, afterwards, by removing the plasticizer of a boiling point of 240 to 300°C, and it contains an electrolyte solution.
