    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground improvement method eliminating a need for an attaching/detaching mechanism for making a leader take a reaction force and eliminating a need for a driving-back process of an outer pipe before discharging gravel.
      SOLUTION: A double pipe 1 comprising an outer pipe 2 and an inner pipe 3 is supported by a lifting unit 6 which is ascendable/descendable along a leader of a construction machine. The double pipe 1 is inserted into the ground G to a predetermined depth while the outer pipe 3 is rotated by a rotation mechanism 7 in the lifting unit 6 (A). Then, the double pipe 1 is pulled out by a predetermined distance while reversely rotating the outer pipe 2, and the gravel M in the inner pipe 3 is discharged into the ground G, so that a gravel pillar P1 may be formed (B). After that, the double pipe 1 is pressed down by the intermediary of the rotary unit 6 by winch operation while reversely rotating the outer pipe 2, so that an enlarged-diameter pillar P2 may be formed (C). Then the pulling-out and pressing-down operation of the double pipe 1 is repeated to form the enlarged-diameter pile P comprising the continuously arranged enlarged-diameter pillars P2 in the ground (E).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improving apparatus which can reduce generation of discharged sludge during execution of soil improvement.
      SOLUTION: The soil improving apparatus is provided with an agitation rod 5 of a double pipe structure having an external pipe 7 which has an agitation blade 12 formed near a distal end thereof, and an internal pipe 6 which is arranged inside the external pipe 7 and has an excavation blade 10 formed at a location that protrudes from the distal end of the external pipe 7, and constructed such that the external pipe 7 and the internal pipe 6 are rotated in directions opposite to each other. Herein the external pipe 7 has a spiral tooth 13 arranged on a peripheral surface thereof in a manner rotatable together with the external pipe 7. The spiral tooth 13 functions to feed excavated earth etc. on the periphery of the external pipe 7 toward a lower interior portion of an excavated hole 14, and eliminates bulging of discharged sludge formed on an entrance surface 14a of the excavated hole 14.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-vibration/low-noise type sand pile forming method and a sand pile forming machine by which the penetration efficiency of a hollow pipe is enhanced in excavation, a pile material is compacted effectively, and a continuous sand pile having an arbitrary shape in a vertical cross section can be formed.
      SOLUTION: A hollow excavation head 2 is integrally rotatably mounted to the lower part of a sand pile forming hollow pipe 1. The excavation head 2 comprises an excavation bit 3 mounted at the lower end of a head body 6 in a protruding manner, a compacting member 5 protruding outward from the peripheral surface of the head body 6 at a substantially right angle so that the hole wall of a bore hole 4 may be compacted by moving excavated soil aside while rotating, and a hydraulic cylinder 9 to move the compacting member 5 back and forth. In repenetration for compaction, the compacting member 5 is made to protrude from the peripheral surface of the head body 6 so as to carry out firm compaction while pressing the pile material against the wall side of the bore hole 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground drill which is improved in strength of an excavating blade and an agitating blade, to thereby facilitate formation of a large-diameter drilling hole and exert a high agitation/mixture effect in a large-diameter area.
      SOLUTION: According to the structure of the ground drill, a rotating shaft 1 for excavation and agitation penetrated into the ground, is formed of an outer pipe 2 and an inner pipe 3 protruding from a lower end of the outer pipe. The outer pipe 2 and the inner pipe 3 are arranged so as to be axially ascendable/descendable with respect to each other, and rotatable in one body. The inner pipe 3 pivotally support a lower end of the excavating blade 12 which has excavating bits 14 fixed to a lower surface thereof. Further the agitating blade 13 has its lower end pivotally connected to an upper end of the excavating blade 12, and has its upper end pivotally supported by the outer pipe 2. Thus by relatively ascending/descending the inner pipe 3 with respect to the outer pipe 2, the excavating blade 12 and the agitating blade 13 are opened/closed in a radial direction of the inner pipe 3.
