    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface reforming method for an aluminum casting material, which method can eliminate internal defects of the aluminum casting material or to provide a method for repairing a poor appearance of the aluminum casting material, which method can repair the poor appearance caused on the surface of the aluminum casting material.
      SOLUTION: A surface reforming apparatus 1 for carrying out the surface reforming method for the aluminum casting material is provided with a probe portion 10, and a shoulder portion 20 having a circular cylindrical shape respectively. The prove portion 10 is made of an aluminum material, and is movably inserted into a through-hole 20a formed along the axis of the shoulder portion 20. In the surface reforming method for the aluminum casting material, the probe portion 10 protrudes from one end 20A of the shoulder portion 20 in the axial direction. The probe portion 10 is brought into contact with the surface of the aluminum casting material 2 while turning at a high rotational speed, and is pressed against the aluminum casting material 2 in the axial direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam irradiation arc welding method for galvanized steel sheets to perform the welding while irradiating an arc generation part with a laser beam by which the occurrence of humping beads, blow holes and pits are prevented, and spatter hardly occurs and consequently excellent welding quality is obtained when welding is performed for a joint to be welded having a gap at a high speed exceeding 2 m/minute. SOLUTION: In the laser beam irradiation arc welding method for galvanized steel sheets, an arc welding method is a consumable electrode pulse arc welding method. The laser beam irradiation position is adjusted so as to be in a vicinity of a boundary part between a molten part and a non-molten part before a molten pool. The condensing diameter of a laser beam at an irradiation part is set to be slightly larger than the gap length present in the joint part to be welded, and the energy density of the laser beam irradiation part is set to the value at which galvanized metal of the irradiation part is evaporated.
