    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide an accurate value of a load weight on a load support means in a hydraulic lifter.
      SOLUTION: In this method for measuring the load weight on the load support means in the hydraulic lifter of an industrial truck wherein pressure of a hydraulic fluid in a lift cylinder 10 is measured, wherein a reference curve expressing a relation between the load weight and hydraulic pressure is determined based on a plurality of measured values of the pressures by the known weight to store the reference curve, the method is provided with a following step: the load support means is lifted up in a short period according to the requirement of an operator or an automatic means to detect the load weight before a lifting-up and -down operation for the load and in the lifting-up and -down operation therefor, the plurality of measured values of the pressures is obtained during the lifting-up and -down of the load support means in the short period, a pair of average values of the pressure measured values is generated in each of lifting-up 14 and lowering 16, the third average value of the paired average values is generated in each of the lifting-up and the lowering, and the third average value is applied to the reference curve to determine the load weight.
