    • PURPOSE:To remove both insoluble, mercury and also nitrogen oxide by causing a flue gas to be absorbed in a solution containing hypochlorous acid prepared by an electrolysis of a solution containing alkali chloride which has absorbed hydrogen chloride gas in a flue gas. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing alkali chloride which has absorbed hydrogen chloride gas in a flue gas, or a waste water which is obtained by removing heavy metal salt from waste washing water containing alkali chloride is electrolyzed and converted to a solution which contains hypochlorous acid with 1-1,000ppm effective chlorine salt content, and this solution is utilize as a washing solution within a pH range between 3 and 8. A flue gas is treated either with a one-step wet washing apparatus wherein both water soluble and insoluble mercury are simultaneously absorbed and removed by that hypochlorous acid containing solution or with a two-step wet washing apparatus wherein water soluble mercury is removed in the first step and then water insoluble mercury is absorbed and removed by that solution in the second step. At the same time, nitrogen oxide is oxidized by that solution and removed in these washing treatment. By this aforementioned method, not only insoluble mercury such as mercury vapor, which has so far seemed difficult to be removed, is effectively removed but also nitrogen oxide is removed simultaneously from a flue gas.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently discharge the solid-liquid separated supernatant water by constituting a flow passage comparted with a flow straightening pipe provided in the downward aperture of a drainage pipe so that the outer peripheral flow passage is narrowly formed and the inner peripheral flow passage is widely formed. CONSTITUTION:The downward aperture 5A of a drainage pipe 5 whose end is connected with the suction port of a pump is extended toward the outer part and a nearly top-shaped flow straightening board 9 is fitted to the position of the lower part separated from the downward aperture at constant distance. Furthermore a nearly trumpet-shaped or tapered flow straightening pipe 14 wherein lower-side diameter is largely set is provided to the inside of the drainage pipe 5 in the part upper than the downward aperture end and the flow passage in the drainage pipe is comparted into both an inner peripheral flow passage 17 of the inside of the pipe 14 and an outer peripheral flow passage 16 which is provided to the outer part of the pipe 14 and formed more narrowly than the flow passage 17. The drainage pipe 5 is related to a water level following mechanism and even when the water level is fluctuated, the downward aperture 5A is always held to the prescribed position under water surface. Solid-liquid separated supernatant water can be efficiently discharged by this comparatively small equipment.
