    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide humidity-conditioning wallpaper that is produced by using an egg shell that is conventionally discarded, has a humidity conditioning function of adjusting indoor humidity to an adequate degree, has adequate strength, is inexpensive and has superior installability.SOLUTION: The humidity-conditioning wallpaper is formed by fixing particles of the egg shell on a paper substrate having air permeability. The wallpaper obtains superior performance for conditioning indoor humidity from a hygroscopic function of the egg shell, in addition to air permeability that the paper substrate originally has, is lightweight and is easily installed. The wallpaper also obtains a superior odor eliminating effect because the egg shell is a porous material, has high adsorptive capacity and thereby allows the whole wall to which the wallpaper is attached to accelerate deodorizing.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chalk highly safe, not causing chalk mark even in touch with skin directly, capable of suppressing scattering of chalk powder, and inexpensively producible by utilizing an eggshell of wastes. SOLUTION: The chalk is produced by the steps of washing an eggshell E of a hen with water, drying the washed eggshell E in a hot-air dryer, charging the dried eggshell E in a stirring separator, stirring while jetting high pressure water to separate and remove an egg membrane inside the eggshell E, thereafter drying the eggshell E from which the egg membrane has been removed in the hot-air dryer and pulverizing it into powder form with a crusher, classifying the crushed eggshell E with a mesh screen to obtain an eggshell powder with about 20 μm particle diameter or smaller, mixing 90 wt.% of the eggshell powder P with 3 wt.% total of bentonite and kaolinite, and 7 wt.% of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as an adhesive, kneading the mixture and extruding into a rod shape by an extruder, cutting the rod by a prescribed length, and drying to be solidified.
