SOLUTION: An authentication server issues a unique token based on a request from a service server and stores the token. The service server generates a two-dimensional code image including issued token information and showing the URL of the authentication server, and transmits the two-dimensional code image to a personal computer. A user reads the two-dimensional code image through a camera of a portable terminal from a personal computer screen, and accesses the authentication server. Based on the access from the portable terminal 10, the authentication server acquires a terminal ID, extracts the token to determine whether it is effective or not, and records and notify the determined result. The user need not memorize or input an ID and a password to simplify authentication operation, and there is no risk of the ID and password leaking and being improperly used by others.
