    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water non-suspending ST short pipe and a method for laying a distributing pipe with which the number of times of water suspension is reduced by half, a water suspension range is reduced or water suspension can be avoided through simple work while reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A water non-suspending ST short pipe 1 used for a construction of laying a distributing pipe comprises piping connecting parts 3, 4 which are formed in both ends of a pipe body 2, a gate valve attaching/detaching part 5 to which a gate valve for shutting off a fluid flowing in the pipe body 2 is attached, and a water cut-off valve attaching/detaching part 6 for mounting a water cut-off valve which enables branching to temporary piping. One of the piping connecting parts has an inner diameter larger than that of the pipe body and the other piping connecting part has an inner diameter in the same shape as that of the pipe body. Furthermore, the piping connecting parts in both the ends have an inner diameter in the same shape as that of the pipe body. Moreover, the piping connecting parts in both the ends have the inner diameter larger than that of the pipe body.
