    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a control system (9) in a timepiece with a striking mechanism, e.g., a minute repeater portable timepiece from unintentionally setting the time during operation of a striking function or from damaging. SOLUTION: A delinking device is inserted into a time setting gear train, and controlled by a movable component of a striking mechanism. The delinking device includes an intermediate motion wheel (19) capable of moving, e.g., in an axial direction from a stopping place where the intermediate motion wheel (19) engages with a castle wheel (16). The movable component of the striking mechanism is preferably a striking barrel drum shaft section (46) that supports a rotating cam (56) having a spiral contour. At the start of operation of the striking mechanism, the cum pushes out a lift bar (60) to pull up a strip (25) that controls the vertical movement of the intermediate motion wheel (19).
