    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material with an evaporative cooling function, which includes a pipe-like water passage comprising hollow porous bodies and a connecting member, and is excellent in strength, a cooling effect and design.
      SOLUTION: The external facing material includes: a plurality of hollow porous bodies 11 with water retentivity or water permeability which are serially arranged at predetermined intervals in a vertical direction; the connecting member 23 allowing the water to move between the upper and lower porous bodies; and supporting posts 3-5 supporting the porous bodies and the connecting member by the intermediary of supporting members 14. The connecting member is interposed between the upper and lower porous bodies while the external facing material is installed. The water passage is formed with the porous body, a core member and the connecting member. The porous body has a pipe shape. The core member with both ends connected to the serially arranged members is inserted into a hollow part of the porous body, and supports the porous body. Water is allowed to pass through the water passage. Part of the water is supplied to at least a lower part of the porous body, and is allowed to evaporate from the surface of the porous body.
