    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high energy density and high power redox flow device.SOLUTION: A positive electrode current collector 110, a negative electrode current collector 120, and an ion permeable separator 130 separating a space between the collectors are provided. A positive electrically active band 115 defined by the positive electrode current collector 110 and the ion permeable separator 130 accommodates a flowable positive electrode-active material 140, and a negative electrically active band 125 defined by the negative electrode current collector 120 and the ion permeable separator 130 accommodates a flowable negative electrode-active material 150. Each of the active materials 140, 150 is a slurry or suspension liquid, a semi-solid which is a mixture of solid and liquid phases, a solution, or a condensed ion-storing liquid which is itself redox-active. A solid surface of a semi-solid active material is coated with electron conductive coating or a conductive material is added to a suspension liquid active material. The positive electrode-active material 140 and the negative electrode-active material 150 are supplied to and discharged from the positive electrically active band 115 and the negative electrically active band 125 as indicated by arrows 160, 165, 170, 175, respectively.
