    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw fastening device which performs screw fastening efficiently in a short time period by rotating it at a high speed until seating, prevents an overshoot after seating irrespective of the hardness of a material to be fastened, has high reliability in torque control and angle control, and is compact is size.SOLUTION: The screw fastening device 1 incudes an engagement delay mechanism 7 with a torsion spring 6 which is disposed between a first output shaft 3 and a second output shaft 5, separates a first engagement part 2 of the first output shaft 3 and a second engagement part 4 of the second output shaft 5 with a required rotational angle, and delays the engagement of the first engagement part 2 and the second engagement part 4 by rotation. The screw fastening device 1 switches the rotational speed of a motor 9 from high speed to low speed when a torque detecting part 8 detects a torque increase caused by a load increase of the torsion spring 6 by the seating of the material to be fastened and is controlled so that the rotational speed of the motor 9 becomes low in speed before the first engagement part 2 of the first output shaft 3 is engaged with the second engagement part 4 of the second output shaft 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo press, by which, even when a tensile load is generated at a ram in pressing with a tip jig mounted to the ram or pressing in vacuum atmosphere, precise pressurization is realized by correcting an effect of the tensile load; even when a workpiece is pressurized in a state of the workpiece being heated, precise load measurement is realized without any effect on a load detector; and no trouble of disconnection is caused.
      SOLUTION: The servo press 1 has a servo motor 2, a screwing mechanism 4 for converting torque of the servo motor 2 into reciprocating linear movement, the ram 5 performing reciprocating linear movement through the screwing mechanism 4, and the load detector 6 for detecting a load applied to the ram 5. The load detector 6 is constituted so that it detects both compression load and the tensile load applied to the ram 5, and also mounted above the ram 5.
