    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD data transmission/reception method, a device, a program, and a data structure capable of performing data exchange high in accuracy and reduced in data amount between different CADs.
      SOLUTION: In the CAD data transmission method for transmitting CAD data to a second CAD system from a first CAD system, a computer executes: a representative point selection process of selecting a plurality of representative points from a point group included in the CAD data; a main curvature calculation process of calculating a main curvature in each representative point based on a positional relation between each representative point and a plurality of points inside the point group present around the representative point; a curvature line creation process of creating a curvature line based on the main curvature in each representative point; a basic amount calculation process of calculating a basic amount associated between a curvature line intersection where the curvature lines intersect and the representative point near the curvature line intersection; and a CAD data transmission process of creating a coordinate value of each curvature line intersection and the basic amount at the each curvature line intersection as the CAD data, and transmitting them.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a three-face fillet generated in a three-face joint part wherein three faces are brought into contact mutually by a small amount of data and to precisely render the three-face fillet surface.
      SOLUTION: The three-face joint part and three faces which are brought into contact with the three-face joint part are extracted from a target model. Based on the characteristics of the three faces, a sphere or an elliptic sphere is defined. Subsequently, when the three-face joint part is replaced by a part of the shape of a curved face constituting the sphere/elliptic sphere, the three-face fillet is generated in the position where the three-face joint part is formed. When the sphere/elliptic sphere is expressed as a primitive shape, the curved face can be rendered precisely, and consequently, the generated three-face fillet can be expressed precisely.
