    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture efficiently an electrode for a cold cathode discharge tube which has high reliability and can prolong a life of the cold cathode discharge tube. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an electrode for a cold cathode discharge tune include an electrode main body green body forming process ST1 in which a first mixed and kneaded material made of metallic fine powder and binder resin is molded into a cup shape and a green body of the electrode main body is formed, a mounting process ST2 in which the electrode green main body is mounted, in a posture of an outer surface of a cup-shaped bottom facing upward, on a tray which has a plurality of pins projecting upward, a calcining process ST6 in which the tray on which the green body of the electrode main body is mounted is transferred to a furnace and the green body of the electrode main body is calcined to form a metallic electrode, and a separation process ST8 in which the metallic electrode is separated from each of the projected pins.
