SOLUTION: The bath roll for hot-dip metal coating has continuous asperity provided in the circumferential direction of the surface of roll base material, and is characterized in that the asperity has a pitch P of 1 to 10 mm, a depth to bottom portion t of 0.2 to 5 mm being a half of the pitch P or less and, in cross-sectional view, a curvature radius of apical portion R of 0.1 mm or greater and a curvature radius of bottom portion R' satisfying the formula: 1.5R≤R'≤P 2 /(8t)-R+t/2(a) and that the angle θ made by mutually adjacent straight lines linking the curve point of the apical portion with the curve point of the bottom portion is 90° or greater.       SOLUTION: The method for repairing the hood-tube the processes of: moving a hood 2 and a skirt part 3 onto a maintenance-deck 11 for repairing; descending the skirt part 3 moved onto the maintenance-deck 11 to release the connection with the hood 2 and cut off the skirt 3 and forming a space 12 for repairing the tube between the skirt part 3 and the hood 2; laying a track 14 for moving a welding apparatus 13 for repairing by performing a build-up welding to the hood-tube with multi-axial arms 13a for working on the maintenance-deck 11 in the space in the skirt part 3 while the hood 2 is cut off, around the center axis of the hood 2 and also laying the welding apparatus 13 on the track 14; and performing the build-up welding to the hood-tube by advancing the arms 13a for working in the welding apparatus 13 laid on the track 14 into the space 12 for repairing.
