    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cloth belt-type dehydrator which is of a simple constitution and can efficiently perform cleaning treatment for the removal of a chlorine content from a material to be dehydration-treated.
      SOLUTION: This filter cloth belt-type dehydrator is of such a constitution that a filter cloth belt 3 capable of filtering a slurry- or sludge-like material to be dehydration-treated A, is endlessly wound around rollers and makes a revolution all through them. In addition, negative pressure dehydration parts 4 to 6 are arranged in a plural-stage fashion, in the direction where the filter cloth belt 3 revolves. The negative pressure dehydration parts 4 to 6 work to dehydrate the material A by applying a suction negative pressure to the material A to be supplied to the surface of the filter cloth belt 3 from the lower surface side of the filter cloth belt 3. Further, cleaning water overflow weirs 11 and 12 are built above at least one of, or above on the upstream side of, the negative pressure dehydration parts 5 or 6 among the negative pressure dehydration parts located at the second stage or the successive stages from the upstream side in the revolution direction of the filter cloth belt 3.
