    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water containing boron capable of sufficiently recovering a boron constituent without removing an anion of a coexisting strong acid in advance irrespective of the pH of waste water causing ionization of boric acid, and furthermore capable of recovering the boron constituent with low energy consumption by a compact apparatus.
      SOLUTION: The method for treating waste water containing boron includes a process for generating a boric acid ion in the waste water by reacting the waste water containing boron with a hydroxide ion generated from a first bipolar membrane, a process for separating the boric acid ion from the waste water by passing the boric acid ion through an anion exchange membrane, a process for generating concentrated boric acid by reacting the boric acid ion passed through the anion exchange membrane with a hydrogen ion generated from a second bipolar membrane, and a process for recovering the concentrated boric acid.
