    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-conducting elastomer having high electrical resistance and high heat conductivity.
      SOLUTION: The heat-conducting elastomer is composed a polymer 10 having rubber elasticity, a cross-linking agent 12 comprising primary particles of graphite or primary particles of composite graphite containing graphite and a metal element, which particles mutually link and constitute aggregates when the agent 12 is added in the polymer 10, and a powdery heat-conducting filler 11 having thermal conductivity higher than that of the polymer 10 and electrical resistance higher than that of the primary particles. The average particle diameter of the heat-conducting filler 11 is larger than that of the aggregates, and the cross-linking agent 12 is stretched between mutually adjacent particles of the heat-conducting filler 11, and thereby, the thermal conductivity of the elastomer becomes higher than that of the elastomer free from the cross-linking agent 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a minute carbonaceus structure that has a highly graphitized layer on the surface and a possibility of forming an intercalation compound in the structure because of the existence of a highly developed and stacked network of six-membered rings of carbon atoms on the surface.
      SOLUTION: The carbonaceous structure is obtained by heating at least one element selected from carbon black, a metal, boron and silicon or a compound containing the element(s). With the carbonaceous structure as the starting material, the minute carbonaceus structure with a highly graphitized layer formed on the surface of the primary particles of the structure is obtained by removing at least one element selected from a metal, boron and silicon by re-heating the carbonaceous structure.
