摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a linear object having a small cross-sectional diameter, e.g. a hair, while increasing SN ration and to analyze a sample having a high hygroscopicity, e.g. a hair, accurately without being affected by the measurement atmosphere. SOLUTION: A large number of linear objects, e.g. hairs, are arranged tightly and substantially in parallel above a reflection plane of a constant area and analyzed accurately while enhancing SN ratio by increasing the quantity of light for irradiating the sample. A space enclosed from the outer air is provided in a cell and then the sample is contained in the enclosed space and measured thus analyzing the sample without being affected by the outer atmosphere.

A refilling valve is connected to each of the diaphragm control spaces and a diaphragm control pressure greater than atmospheric pressure is temporarily applied to the diaphragm control spaces, when using the refilling valve.
