    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shock-absorbing rope with no need of being furnished with any shock absorber as a separate constituent, enabling the rope itself to absorb a shock, thus capable of omitting its setup operation.
      SOLUTION: The shock-absorbing rope is such that multiple elastic balls 13 are disposed at predetermined intervals so as to included in braid rope 12 braided with multiple fiber strands 11 or in rope with such a structure as to be made by twisting multiple side strands 21. In the shock-absorbing rope, the respective elastic balls 13 are consecutively connected together by a linear connective material 14 in the form of strand, rope, wire, tube, etc., wherein each of the elastic balls 13 is substantially spherical or ellipsoidal and also elastically deformable when subjected to compressive force of predetermined level or higher from the strands.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly strong fiber rope having a high strength and excellent flexural fatigue resistance and suitable for rope ways by applying a specific twist coefficient ratio to a core strand and side strands comprising specific fibers having high strength and low elongation, impregnating the rope main body with a fluororesin and further disposing an outside layer on the impregnated rope main body. SOLUTION: This highly strong fiber rope is obtained by preparing a core strand 1 and side strands 2 surrounding the core strand 1 from high strength and low elongation fibers each having a breaking strength of >=20 g/d and an elastic modulus of >=500 g/d, such as aramide fibers, impregnating and baking the combination with a fluororesin such as tetrafluoroethylene polymer, applying twists to the resin-impregnated combination so as to satisfy the inequality: 1 ; T is twist number/30 cm; D is fineness denier) to form a rope main body R, and subsequently disposing an outside layer 3 containing a knitted product comprising synthetic fibers such as polyester fibers, a thermoplastic resin layer such as a polyurethane resin layer, or both the materials on the rope main body.
