    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flowmeter capable of controlling properly the gain of an amplifier regardless of the quantity of impurities such as air bubbles or the like included in a fluid, executing flow measurement with a high S/N ratio even to the change of the kind or the temperature of the fluid, and executing stably always accurate flow measurement. SOLUTION: This flowmeter is constituted so that waveform data including at least a peak value in a received signal are digitally converted by an analog- digital converter 9 and preserved in a memory 11, and that a processor 10 selects the peak value in the case where the impurities such as the air bubbles, the solid powder or the like are not included in the fluid, as a selected peak value from among the peak values preserved in the memory at each prescribed time interval, compares the selected peak value with a peak set value set beforehand in the processor, transmits a control signal to a gain control terminal of the amplifier 5 based on the comparison result, and controls so that the peak value in an output signal of the amplifier becomes roughly in the same degree as the peak set value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flow meter which is provided with a detector made of a pipe body having the same diameter over the whole length, and which is small in diameter for the small flow rate, and compact. SOLUTION: A measuring pipe 1 is of the same diameter over the whole length, and two circular-ring-like ultrasonic vibrators 2A, 2B are provided in the axial direction of the measuring pipe at a specified distance from each other so that their inner peripheral surfaces are substantially brought into close contact with the outer peripheral surface of the measuring pipe. Since alternating electric energy is given to one vibrator of the two vibrators, transmitted ultrasonic waves are received by the other vibrator. By alternately switching the vibrators 2A, 2B on the transmission side and the reception side, the propagation time of ultrasonic wave from the upstream side to the downstream side, and the propagation time of ultrasonic wave from the downstream side to the upstream side, are respectively measured, and the difference between the propagation times is calculated by a calculation circuit 6 to determine the flow velocity of a fluid flowing in the measuring pipe. The measuring pipe 1 can be a linear pipe or a bent non-linear pipe.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a mass flowmeter which is never influenced by the temperature change of a fluid to be measured, has a high response speed to the flow rate change of the fluid, and can measure a minute flow rate. CONSTITUTION:Two temperature detecting elements 3, 4 for detecting the temperature of a fluid to be measured are provided on the outside of a conduit 1 for passing the fluid. Two self-superheating type resistors 5, 6 in which the resistance values are changed according temperature are arranged on the outside of the conduit on the lower stream side from the elements, and the resistors are paired with the temperature detecting elements one by one. The pairs are connected to two constant temperature difference control circuits 7, 8 for controlling the voltages applied to the resistors so that the temperature differences between the temperature detecting elements and the resistors are constant, respectively. Each constant temperature difference control circuit is connected to a subtracting circuit 11 for determining the difference in the voltage applied to the respective resistor by each constant temperature difference control circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for gathering of all data by receiving level data from a level measuring instrument by an average temperature measuring instrument to measure an average temperature corresponding to this level. CONSTITUTION:A level measuring instrument 2 has a function to communicate with a receiver 5 and an average temperature measuring instrument 3 by one unit 10b and the other unit 10a respectively. These devices are connected by an optical cable 4 and are operated. When receiving level data, the measuring instrument 3 selects an adapted thermometric element to measure the average temperature and transmits this data to the measuring instrument 2. The measuring instrument 2 stores received average temperature data in a memory together with level data. When a data request is issued from the receiver 5 to the measuring instrument 2, the measuring instrument 2 immediately returns level data and average temperature data stored in the memory to the receiver 5. Since the receiver 5 obtains level data and average temperature data immediately when issuing the data request, the data gathering time is shortened.
