    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of enlarging an amount of thermal coupling between electronic components and a case body and retaining an insulation distance between the electronic components mounted on a circuit board and the case body.SOLUTION: A lighting device 100a includes a case body 200a having a case protrusion section 211a on a case body bottom face, a circuit board 400a mounted on the case body 200a, and two upper face support pieces 222c for fixing the circuit board 400a to the case body 200a. The circuit board 400a has a surface mounted component 402 mounted at a location corresponding to a case protrusion section 211a when the circuit board is installed on the case body 200a. Two upper face support pieces 222c are respectively arranged at opposite locations so as to hold the case protrusion section 211a and the surface mounted component 402, and press down a surface different from the surface for mounting the surface mounted component 402. The amount of thermal coupling between the heat generating chip-shaped electronic component 402 and the case body 200a can be made large since the surface mounted component 402 is pressed down to the case protrusion section 211a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color temperature variable LED lighting apparatus which can control brightness independently for each of light colors of LEDs by using a single electric power supply device.SOLUTION: An LED lighting system 1 comprises: a first LED unit 5 and a second LED unit 7 each of which is composed of a plurality of LEDs and of which color temperatures are different from each other; a changeover switch 9 for selecting at least one of the first and second LED units, and for forming a series connection part being a series connection of both LED units when selecting both of the LED units; and an LED power supply device 3 with a voltage determination function, for operating such that when only one of the LED units is selected, a first temporary current is supplied to the selected LED unit for lighting, and when the series connection part is formed, a second temporary current having substantially the same magnitude as the first temporary current is supplied to the series connection part for lighting, and for detecting a voltage generated in the only one LED unit or the series connection part to supply an electric current according to the detected voltage through the only one LED unit or the series connection part.
