SOLUTION: The illumination device comprises a remote control 3 that has an infrared signal transmission part 6, an infrared receiving part 7, and a display part 8 displaying the transmission and receiving content, and an illumination apparatus 1 that has a lighting circuit part 11 for lighting the lamp 2, an apparatus infrared transmission part 5, an apparatus infrared receiving part 4, an apparatus control part 9 for controlling the lighting circuit 11 based on the infrared signal received from the remote control 3 through the apparatus infrared receiving part 4, and a memory part 10 for storing the operation condition of the illumination apparatus 1. When the illumination apparatus 1 has received an infrared signal giving the request of operation state from the remote control 3, the apparatus control part 9 transits an infrared signal giving the operation state stored in the memory part 10 to the remote control 3 through the apparatus infrared transmission part, and the remote control 3 receives the infrared signal giving the operation state and makes the display part 8 display the operation state of the illumination apparatus 1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system in which wiring work of the signal lines to each illumination apparatus is not required and the output of light of the illumination apparatuses housed in the system changes synchronously and which realizes a stable illumination. SOLUTION: The infrared rays of illumination control information are first transmitted from an infrared transmitter 6 of one of the fluorescent lamp apparatus 1 having an illumination intensity sensor 7 by one group of the divided fluorescent lamp groups, and during the prescribed time until all the illumination control information of each other is compounded to the fluorescent lamp apparatus having the illumination intensity sensor of each group, the neighboring fluorescent lamp apparatus transmits from the infrared transmitter the infrared rays of the illumination control information that is received by the infrared receiver 5, and relays the illumination control information to the neighboring fluorescent lamp apparatus one by one. And after the lapse of the above prescribed time, the control circuit of the fluorescent lamp apparatus having the illumination intensity sensor of each group outputs to the inverter 10 the illumination signal based on the illumination control information received by its infrared receiver, and controls illumination of the fluorescent lamp and outputs its illumination control information to the infrared transmitter and makes illumination control of the fluorescent lamp apparatus in its group by interlocking.

SOLUTION: A plurality of illumination apparatuses 21-32 that are adjacently arranged comprise a memory means for storing a transmission number and a group number, and is equipped with a control means which performs illumination process, based on the illumination level information of a control signal, when it has received at the first time the control signal that is provided with an illumination level information, a group number information and a transmission number information on the control signal from the infrared remote control 9 or from the other illumination apparatuses 21-32, if the group number information coincides with the stored group number, and does not perform illumination process if the group number information does not coincide with the group number, and generates a control signal by changing the transmission number information of the control signal into its own transmission number in both cases when the group number information coincides with the group number and when it does not coincide, and outputs a control signal to the transmission means at the transmission time band calculated by its own transmission number, and, when it has received the control signal at the second time, does not perform illumination process, nor outputs a control signal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system in which there is no collision of infrared rays and wiring work of signal lines to each illumination apparatus is not required. SOLUTION: The illumination system comprises a control means A which is installed in a plurality of illumination apparatuses A 11, 12 having a human body detection sensor 7 and, when there is an output of the human body detection sensor 7, the control means A generates a control signal setting as a transmitting number the illumination degree information, a transmitting number selection information and its transmitting number and controls illumination and, by calculating the transmission time band from its own transmitting number, outputs to the infrared transmitter 6, and a control means B which is installed in the illumination apparatuses B 12-15 having no human body detection sensor 7 and, when received a control signal from the other illumination apparatuses A 11, 16 or the illumination apparatuses B 12-15, controls illumination by the illumination degree information, and changes the transmitting number information into its own transmitting number, and outputs to the infrared transmitter 6 at the calculated transmission time band. The control means A, when received the control signal, makes illumination control by the illumination degree information of the control signal, and changes the transmitting number into its own transmitting number and outputs to the infrared transmitter 6 at the calculated transmission time band.
