摘要： PURPOSE:To enable a driver to obtain desired information in a voice at the time of necessity by obtaining only the necessary information from a present position to a destination or to a traveling direction by operating an operating means. CONSTITUTION:The received information for the driver including position data is stored in an external audio memory 14, and on condition of the presenting command of the information by the operation of the operating means 18, when the destination is set by a setting means 17, the information for the driver of information sources located from the present position of one's own vehicle to the destination by a vehicle's own position detecting means (GPS receiver) 15 is read out of the external voice memory 14, and is speech-synthesized by a speech synthesizer 19. If the destination is not set, the information for the driver of the information sources located in the traveling direction of one's own vehicle is read out of the external voice memory 14, ans is speech- synthesized. Besides, since the information is stored in the external voice memory 14, a small memory in a viewpoint of capacity is enough, and the alteration of stored contents too can be easily executed, and this device is very effective for vehicle use.

The decoding part is provided with an average value DPCM decoder 15, an amplitude gain DPCM decoder 16, a vector quantizing decoder 19, an amplitude reproducing circuit 21, and an average value adding circuit 23.
