    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily wind a stator winding, to enhance an occupied ratio in a stator core, to reduce winding resistance due to no coil end, and to change field magnetic flux according to usage. SOLUTION: In the stator core, stator core pawl magnetic poles extend from both sides in an axial direction alternately at locations opposed to a rotor to form a plurality of magnetic poles. By using this stator core, it is only necessary to annularly wind a stator winding. Thus, operability and an occupied ratio can be improved, and since there is no coil end, winding resistance can be reduced.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ac generator for a vehicle which further reduces a magnetic noise than a conventional ac generator for a vehicle.
      SOLUTION: The magnetic noise is further reduced in the ac generator for the vehicle by increasing the degree of torque ripple determined from the number of magnetic poles of a rotor 4 (positive integer) and the number of slots 2c provided in a stator core 2 (positive integer) larger than the number of the slots 2c. Moreover, the magnetic noise is reduced by differentiating the degree of a rectifying ripple, the degree of a torque ripple and the number of the slots 2c and sequentially increasing the degree of the rectifying ripple, the number of the slots 1c and the degree of the torque ripple.

    • PURPOSE:To detect decomposed gas even in an abnormal insulation with partial discharge of several 10pc generated in a gas insulated device by dividing a ground tank by insulating spacer into sections, and employing as adsorbents to be mounted in the respective sections those having different properties for the openable section and the bus section. CONSTITUTION:Pockets 5 for containing adsorbents 30 are formed in the bottom of a ground tank 2, a pipe 6 for measuring gas therein is connected to a decomposed gas measuring unit 7, and SF6 gas 20 is filled therein. If a malfunction occurs in the bus so that a partial discharge 10 is generated, the gas 20 is decomposed, SO2 is produced, and SO2 concentration is measured with high sensitivity by the unit 7. On the other hand, an adsorbent 31 for adsorbing moisture and the decomposed gas is contained in the pocket 5 of an openable section. When an opening/closing mechanism 8 is operated, an arc discharge 11 is generated to decompose the gas 20, thereby generating a large quantity of decomposed gas. Then, the malfunction in the bus section is detected with high sensitivity by measuring the decomposed gas.

    • PURPOSE:To attain practical and highly reliable gas insulating test by forming a testing voltage as a waveform alternately generating at least one positive polarity voltage and one negative polarity voltage whose continuous time is shorter than the half period of a commercial frequency voltage. CONSTITUTION:An AC voltage supplied from an AC voltage source 11 in a testing voltage generator 10 is converted into a DC voltage by a rectifier 12. The DC voltage is switched through a polarity switch 13 so that positive and negative voltages are alternately applied and then the switched voltage is inputted to a shock voltage generator 14. In the generator 14, electrostatic charge charged in a capacitor is discharge to a waveform shaping circuit through a gap and a required waveform impulse voltage is generated and impressed to a gas insulating apparatus to be a sample. Even if switching impulses whose continuous time is shorter than the half period of the commercial frequency voltage are impressed several times, electrostatic force applied to a conductive foreign substance is extremely low as compared with the force impressed by the commercial frequency voltage. Thereby a highly reliable test can be attained without keeping a rigid state different from practical use.
