Since the optical fiber 25 is symmetric, individual strands can receive the same quantity of light, the same amplifiers 32, 33 are used to calibrate a device, and the device can be accurately positioned. Amplifiers different in sensitivity are selected to classify the arc into two intensity ranges after the device is once adjusted.
