    • PURPOSE:To attain a compact and thin design of a magnetic disk device together with large capacity by abutting a guide element attached previously on a guide rail to support this guide element by a tool so that a prescribed angle is secured between a reference attachment surface for magnetic head and fixing another guide element to an actuator after abutting on the guide rail. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 4 is provided with guide rollers 7a, 7b and 8b abutting on a guide rail 6 having an approximately arc shaped section and also provided with rollers 11a, 11b abutting or a guide rail 10 having an approximately arc-shaped section. Then a positioning tool 13 is fixed on the rail 6 so that a reference surface 13a is set vertical to the rails 6, and the actuator 3 is pressed to the tool 13 so that an entire attachment surface 4a is attached close to the surface 13a to secure the restricted support. Under such condition, a shaft 12a of a guide rollers 12 is inserted into an attachment hole 4b and an outer wheel 12b is abutted on the rail 6. Then an adaptor 14 for pre-pressure is attached to the roller 12 and therefore the wheel 12b is pressed to the rail 6 by the pre-pressure of a spring 16. Under such conditions, the shaft 12a is fixed into the hole 4b by means an adhesive.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the equal load conditions without depending upon the positioning position of an actuator by making the material of the spring for retracting into a super elastic alloy. CONSTITUTION:A super elastic Ni-Ti alloy is used for the material of a spring 19 for retracting. The character of an elastic area 20 is the same as that of the general metal, and the material has its features for a plastic area 21. Namely, in case of the general metal, when distortion is increased up to the plastic area, the distortion remains as it does, and when the load of a super elastic alloy is removed, the deforming distortion disappears and the alloy is returned to the original condition. In short, when the main alloy is used at the plastic area, the spring can be obtained in which the spring constant is very small and the sufficient force can be generated. When this is used as the retracting spring, almost a constant load torque can be obtained without depending upon the positioning position of the disk.

    • PURPOSE:To design highly accurated revolution with preventing vibration and whirl of a spindle by providing a radial pre-load machinery in the outer rim part of a bearing housing and a stopper to hinder a revolution of the bearing housing in the opposite position to the pre-load machinery. CONSTITUTION:The inner ring of a lower side bearing 3a is fixed to a spindle axis 2, and the outer ring is stuck to a bearing housing 4. In this case, a part of an external form of a circle is biasedly ground by the bearing housing 4 to make a bending rate radius between two points 12, 13 smooth and small, and made to connect with a foundation base 1 at the points 12, 13. And one notch is formed on the outer rim part of the bearing housing 4, on which a radial pre-load machinery 10 is provided so that the power direction goes in the direction of tangent of a lower side bearing 3a. Also, the other notch is formed on the opposite side of the above machinery 10, on which a stopper 11 is provided to receive revolving power given to the bearing housing 4 by the above machinery 10 by tangent power.

The carriage 10 can shift smoothly on the guide by a roller 9, and is shifted and positioned by a coil 11 and a magnetic circuit 12. A spindle 5, a carriage guide part and the magnetic circuit 12 are fixed to a base 13, and closed tightly with a cover 14. A hole 24 for supplying clean air and a hole 25 for exhaust are installed at a cover 14, and clean air filtered by an air filter 15 to a hole 24 for supply is supplied into the device by a blower 16.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent a damage accident of a recording medium by forming the titled device so that the door cannot be closed when a floppy disk is being inserted or drawn out, and a chucking mechanism interlocked with the opening and closing of this door cannot be operated either.
      CONSTITUTION: In a state that a floppy disk has been inserted or drawn out halfway, a collar part 12' of a slider 11 and the lower end of the floppy disk 2 are engaged with each other, and the slider 11 is depressed downward by a certain distance. In this position, a stopper part 12 of the slider 11 exists in front of a stopper part 13 of a plate 4. Accordingly, even if the plate 4 is turned to the right in the figure, the stopper part 13 is engaged with the stopper part 12 of the slider 11 and its further turning is obstructed, a chuck mechanism cannot be operated, and a door 3 cannot be closed. In this way, it does not occur that the floppy disk 2 is pinched and pressed by a collet and a spindle 18 at an unintended position.
