摘要： PURPOSE:To enable prevention of floating up and jumping up of a work, by a method wherein, upon completion of grinding, an upper grinding stone is stopped on the way to a given backward movement position once, and the feed of a grinding solution is stopped or decreased to discharge a work momentarily. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower grinding stones 8 and 9 are rotated in a stage in that a distance therebetween is increased fairly over the thickness of a work W before machining, and the work W engaged with a holding hole 10 a of a carrier plate 10 for holding is indexed and inserted. The upper grinding stone 8 is lowered for cutting, and both surfaces of the work W are ground by means of the stones 8 and 9. When the work is ground to a given size, a feed is stopped to effect spark-out grinding. After grinding is completed, the upper grinding stone 8 is slightly moved backward toward above and stopped one, and simultaneously, the feed of a grinding solution is stopped. Through swinging of the carrier plate 10, the work W is momentarily discharged from between the two grinding stones 8 and 9. This constitution prevents jumping up and floating up of the work owing to the grinding solution, also prevents the occurrence of double grinding, and permits precise machining of the work.
