    • PURPOSE:To prevent generation of corrosion between a sleeve having projections on the outside surface and a heat transmitting pipe, by forming the sleeve to the inside diameter thereof smaller than the outside diameter of the heat transmitting side, heating the sleeve to expand and fitting the sleeve onto the heat transmitting pipe via a brazing filler metal then annealing the same. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 11 is formed to the inside diameter slightly smaller than the outside diameter of a heat transmitting pipe 12 and plural projections 11a projecting radially are formed on the outside surface of the sleeve 11. An annular brazing filler metal layer 13 is formed on the inside surface of the sleeve 11. Such sleeve 11 is heated to the temp. higher than the temp. of the pipe 12 so as to expand and the expanded sleeve is fitted onto the pipe 12. The assembly is then subjected to a heat treatment at the annealing temp. of the material of the pipe 12. When the sleeve 11 shrinks on cooling to the same temp. as the temp. of the pipe 12, the sleeve and the pipe are united in tight contact with each other to one body by which the gap between the sleeve 11 and the pipe 12 is filled. The corrosion between the sleeve 11 and the pipe 12 is therefore prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic device which can perform reliable operation by fixing a plate shaped liquid sucking member, which can be contacted with a surface which is to be checked and located at a ceiling, to the upper end face of a rotary tube. CONSTITUTION:A small arm 109 of a manipulator 100 which is provided in a water chamber 4 is moved to the position directly over a manhole 5, and the osmosis device 10 is mounted to the small arm 109. Then, the osmosis device 10 is transferred to the position directly under the end hole of a small vapor pipe 2 in the water chamber 4, i.e, where a blank plug 7 which requires the osmosis flaw detecting check is welded for sealing by the rotation and the stretching and contracting movement of a main arm 107. Then, osmosis liquid which is supplied from an osmosis liquid supplying tube 48 is flowed into felt 42 through an osmosis liquid supplying tube 47 and a supply hole 46, and attached to the seal welded part of the blank plug 7, which is contacted with the felt 42. When a rotary motor 35 is operated, the rotary tube is rotated together with the felt 42, and the attachement of the osmosis liquid to the seal welded part is further ensured.

    • PURPOSE:To automate the remote operation of mounting of blind plugs, by inserting vertically movably into a guide cylinder a plug receiver having a blind plug fitting section, and connecting a vertically movable rod through a flexible shaft to the plug receiver. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger 2, a plurality of fine tubes 3 for passing a fluid are vertically joined to a tube plate 5 located at a lower part in a cylindrical shell 4, and a water chamber 7 in which a blind plug mounting apparatus 1 is located is positioned below the pipes 3, the water chamber 7 being defined by the tube plate 5, the cylindrical shell 4 and a partition wall 6. The blind plug mounting apparatus 1 adopts as its guiding apparatus a manipulator 8. The manipulator 8 includes a fixed stand 10 whose tip is connected to a rack 11. A traversing table 14 is placed on the rack 11, and has a telescopic main arm 15 thereon. The main arm 15 and the traversing table 14 are connected through a elevating arm 16. The tip of the main arm 15 is provided with an oscillating mechanism 17 to which an attachment is swingably connected.

    • PURPOSE:To make automatic seal welding of blind plugs at tube ends of a multitube type heat exchanger through remote operation possible by mounting a welding torch to the leading end of a guide device on a stand rotatably by the use of an elevating mechanism and a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a lower water chamber 2 of a semispherical shape of a cylindrical shell 1 partitioned by a tube plate 3 supporting U-tubes and a partition wall 5, a holding frame 23 is mounted via a small arm 21 to an oscillating mechanism mounted to the leading end of an extensible, contractable and swivelable main arm 20 of a manipulator 12 of a guide device installed to the stand. With a key groove 24 of the frame 23 as a guide groove, an elevating block 31 is fitted and held therein. The block 31 incorporates an elevating mechanism by a motor drive not shown, and moves a torch holding block 47 vertically. The block 47 has links 48 and 49 (only the 49 is shown) which move the torch 6 circularly along the weld line by means of link mechanisms, and is provided with a heat shielding plate 9 and a guide block 57 which is to be fitted into the tube adjacent to the tube to be welded in order to position the torch 6.
