    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory capable of input/output of arbitrary parallel data of word width N and input/output of arbitrary serial data of digit width Nd. SOLUTION: A memory cell comprising a parallel wordline, a serial wordline, a parallel bit line and serial bit line is arranged in a shape of a matrix and an address of the memory cell is assigned so as to be able to access a plurality of lines of memory cells by selecting one serial wordline. Thereby, a plurality of digit serial data can be inputted or outputted simultaneously to one memory. Also a plurality of data of arbitrary digit widths can be simultaneously processed by setting up a plurality of memories and arranging wiring of digit serial data in order.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that: (1) a conventional melody synthesizer is limited to koto music and when the melody synthesizer is applied to other music, the melody pattern and start sound of the musical piece need to be determined; (2) a basic key is not determined since general music is frequently transposed; (3) it is not sufficient to only apply a classification of a melody pattern similar to koto music; (4) a user easily gets confused ways of using two batons during a musical performance since the two batons have meanings respectively and a musical performance is difficult when the batons cross each other; and (5) a timbre can be neither selected nor registered. SOLUTION: A melody synthesizer using a melody pattern includes a storage section having a melody pattern database 5, a first input section 2a which selects a shape of a melody pattern in the storage section, and a second input section 2b which selects a start sound of the melody pattern, and selects the shape of a desired melody pattern at the first input section, specifies sounds on a scale of the start sound and generation timing of each sound at the second input part, and outputs a melody of the melody pattern from an output section.
