      SOLUTION: The guide shell includes: the beam member 30 with a guide (e.g., a carriage guide 31) formed along the longitudinal direction to guide a movable member (e.g., a carriage); the liner 40 mounted along the guide 31 to cover the guide 31 and to slide the movable member; and a pressing member 50 mounted to the beam member 30 in the arrangement not hindering the movement of the movable member, and pressing part of the liner 40 to the beam member 30 to regulate the lift of the liner 40 from the beam member 30. The steel liner 40 is mounted to the guide through the spring action of locking parts 41, 42 provided at both upper and lower edges, and a clamp 50 presses the locking part 42 to the beam member 30 through its spring action.
