    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a long-sized polymer film applicable as a λ/4 plate, where crosstalk does not occur even when a viewer inclines his or her neck while viewing a stereoscopic image on a display with spectroscopic image viewing spectacles on, and to provide a λ/4 produced by this method, and a polarizing plate and a stereoscopic image display device which include the λ/4 plate.SOLUTION: In the method for producing a long-sized polymer film, a rear end part of a preceding polymer film is coincided with a front end part of a succeeding polymer film to join them together, and the polymer films are continuously drawn in an oblique direction forming an angle of 40 to 50° with a breadthwise direction of the polymer film. The rear end part of the preceding polymer film and the front end part of the succeeding polymer film are joined together so that a junction line in a junction between them is substantially parallel (at an angle of -10 to 10°) with the breadthwise direction after oblique drawing.
