    • PURPOSE: To reduce a jitter amt. due to the fluctuation of an information reproducing signal caused by various causes and to attain stable and high reliable information reproduction in an information reproducing device for reproducing digital information recorded on an optical card with a length of a mark and a pitch between marks by providing a phase compensating means for correcting a phase characteristic of the whole information. CONSTITUTION: The digital information recorded in a changing form of the length of the mark and the pitch between the marks in read out, and this read- out signal is binarized after electrical coupling, and is then reproduced. A phase compensating circuit 3 is provided here for the purpose of correcting a phase distortion in an electric system until the signal is binarized. Then, in the case of simultaneous reproduction of plural tracks, at least one regenerative signal processing circuit out of plural regenerative signal processing circuits corresponding to these tracks is provided with the phase compensating circuit 3.

The optical card 1 is mounted on a carriage (not shown in the figure) and the carriage is constituted so as to be reciprocatingly moved in an information track direction by a moving mechanism (not shown in the figure). Consequently, the optical head and the optical card 1 are reciprocatingly moved in the information direction relatively and since light beams reciprocatingly scan on an information track, information are recorded on the information track or recorded information are reproduced.

Consequently, the optical head and the optical card 1 are reciprocatingly moved relatively in the information track direction and since light beams from the optical head reciprocatingly scan on an information track, information are recorded on the information track or recorded information are reproduced.
