    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pier which can be constructed in a short period of time, and a construction method of the pier.
      SOLUTION: Firstly, an abutment 7 is constructed on one bank, and three main girders 4a about twice longer than a span are elongated in a river crossing direction from the abutment 7 in such a manner that the abutment 7 serves as a base point. Next, a material guiding girder 2a is temporarily held in the central section of the main girder 4a (refer to Fig. 6(a)). Subsequently, after the temporarily held girder 2a is fixed, a material guiding girder 2b is temporarily held at the leading end of the main girder 4a, and fixed. Two main girders 4b about twice longer than the span are further elongated in the river crossing direction from the girder 2a in such a manner as to lay astride the girder 2b. A material guiding girder 2c is temporarily held at the leading end of the main girder 4b (refer to Fig. 6(c)). After that, the above operations are repeated. This enables the pier to be constructed in a short period of time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate passing, by arranging lateral girder members at the underface of two parallel main girders laid between revetments and connecting the main girders and the lateral girder members by diagonal members and arranging covering plates in the inside of the main girders, when a pedestrian bridge is temporarily installed on a river. SOLUTION: Wall girders 1 of which the upper flange face is flush with the ground level, are laid on both river banks and two main girders 2 are arranged therebetween. A fixed frame 4 is fixed to a plate 3 fixed to the lower flange of the main girder 2 and a handrail 5 is fitted thereon and further, a plurality of covering plates 6 are laid on the plate 3. The upper side of the covering plates 6 is fixed by horizontal covering members 8 installed at the lower side of the handrail 5 to prevent the covering plates from rising owing to the blowing-up air. Horizontal members are formed by the wall girders 1 and the lateral members 12 arranged at right angles against them in the middle part of the underface of the main girders 1 to be longer than the distance between the main girders. The end of lateral member and the main girder 2 are connected by diagonal members 11 to prevent the flexural buckling. In this way, as the bridge floor does not become extremely higher than the ground, people and bycicles can easily pass thereon.

Then, the unit pier panel 8 of the next stage is connected to the columnar structure 13 by a crane main body 12' through a wire 14, and is put in a building condition, and the steel pipe 10 as a pile bridge pier of the next stage is inserted into a cylindrical connecting part 1 of the unit pier panel 8 of the next stage, and is arranged on the ground 9, and a hole excavator 20 is suspended by and inserted into the steel pipe 10 by the crane main body 12' by using the steel pipe 10 as a conductive material, and a diameter is expanded and a hole is excavated by its tip bit 17, and the steel pipe 10 is sunk, and its upper end part is cut by gas, and a load receiving plate is set.

For that purpose, holding beams are not required, and the lining plate can be directly mounted on the upper parts of the horizontal joint materials.
